—— ♘; } Seeing Snow talk so highly about simply being with her sister never ceased to make Lightning happy — though it had taken definitely some proving, Snow had really proved worthy — he’d earned Lightning’s blessing, something she never dreamed he’d be given. The l’Cie conundrum had given him the chance to prove himself in the strangest of ways — in the end, it seemed to work out in their favor.
❝ That’s Serah for you — perfectionist. She’s always been like that. ❞ It’s evident that the upbringing of the Farron into the conversation brings a more relaxed atmosphere — someone they both love dearly. Something they have in common — it makes it easier to engage in conversation, and frankly, Lightning would like to get to know the man that Serah had dedicated her life to.
Not only for the sake of Serah, but for herself.
❝ The kid — ? ❞ Tones drift off whilst the happiness seems to wear off. ❝ Who’re you talking about … ? ❞
She could guess.
“C'mon, Light. You know who I’m talkin’ about!” The mentioning was apparent (to him)– why wouldn’t it be? He brought it up in the first place and it caused another discharge of amusement from curled lips, yet its duration had been brief.
“Hope. How’s he doin’?” He could only help but wonder; the kid, or Hope, had been someone he cherished and looked after– someone he deemed himself responsible for, and he still felt that way. Snow made a promise after all and he always kept his promises, no matter the circumstance.
“I take it you two are doin’ well? Serah and I are always thinkin’ about you guys,” he uttered nothing but the truth. “We sort of have this bet goin’ around– to see which one of us will be gettin’ married first,” and it was the truth that kept leaking from the hero’s mouth.
