▐┃❛♕ Parting is a breathy sigh, sealing of lids to accompany the notion as a subtle descent of cranium occurs, filament of roseate subtly shifting with.
❝ Nothing better to do. ❞ A statement which stands as agreement, supposedly.
An act or speech of defiance was partially anticipated, but with it lacking in her response, the hope he clasped accumulated.
“Great! That’s what I like to hear! But first, I gotta deliver this coffee before I’m hunted down. How about you join me?”
▐┃❛♕ ❝ Thank you, Snow. ❞ A genuine smile directed towards the other with a subtle nod of crown, gaze flickering towards the ground before up back towards her brother-in-law to be. A more gentle, delicate gaze cast towards the other, a more quiet utterance of thanks. ❝ — Really… Thank you. ❞
“You don’t gotta thank me, sis.”
A curl of lips reflected the sincerity of her smile, an expression not only influenced by delight, but the overwhelming sensation of the moisture he’d attempt to smother. He was happy for her– perhaps more than she could imagine, and he was happy to be a part of this life-changing decision.
▐┃❛♕ Gaze follows as the male pulls out a chair, a single brow raising upon the words as the woman takes a seat in the one provided. ❝ It’s fine, thanks. ❞ A nod initiated to accompany her gratitude, though it’s stated plainly, an attempt to cover her nervousness as she’d anticipated the soon to come inquiry.
He led them right on the correct trail for such a topic.
Allowing him to finish, Lightning shows mild interest in his ramble of statements and inquiries, the last thing leaving his mouth the topic she sticks to. ❝ I… do kinda — want your help for something, I guess you could say —. ❞ It’s a start, subtle embarrassment covering features as gaze averts his own. ❝ —— I’d like you to do me a favor — if you don’t mind. ❞
“What? You kiddin’, sis? Of course I wouldn’t mind. Anythin’ you need– ask, and I’ll do whatever I can!” It was either his determination to see things through, or his desire to impress the other in his presence that brought emphasis to his cooperation.
His awareness to how significant this meant to Lightning was relatively higher than one would expect– and being requested to be a part of it transcended his ambition. To even apprehend the context of Lightning’s words was not only an honor, but the light it shed upon their previous exchanges delivered an outstanding amount of hope.
( Perhaps she didn’t dislike him as much as she led on? )
That thought alone influenced the brightest, ivory-boasting smile.
“Do ya’ need me to keep Hope outta trouble? Y'know how those bachelor parties go.”
▐┃❛♕ An exhale substituting laughter before entering the home, gaze fleeting to and fro as she scans the vicinity upon entering the kitchen. Articulation of the other is listened to as she does so, pausing midway through the kitchen before turning back towards the other. ❝ I’m fine, thanks. I just had my lunch, actually. Didn’t get a break today. ❞ Though irritated she was at the occurrence, it’s brushed off — it doesn’t matter anymore, and she’d recently eaten — and without the absence of her usual break the day wasn’t half bad.
❝ Icame here to talk to you, so it’s alright — I’ll see her again some other time. ❞ Really, she only intends to be quick, and the meetings Serah was required to attend could sometimes take hours, and she’d promised Hope they’d be going to dinner in about two hours, so she doubted that the younger Farron would return home before Lightning leaves. Her intention is to be somewhat quick, but still — though she hates to admit it — wants to spend at least some time with her future brother-in-law. After so long and so much, he’s started to grow onto the soldier.
Yet onto her original intentions. ❝ It’s… about the wedding. —— Can we sit somewhere? ❞
“Oh, sure!” And so he brings it upon himself to pull out a chair from their kitchen table, with a hand signaling an invitation. “I hope this is all right,” he nearly questions in a tone that seeks acceptance– something he consistently thrived to receive from his soon-to-be sister-in-law. It’d always been that way, since the very beginning, Lightning was the only person he wanted that sort of approval from. Be it his and Serah’s engagement, or the little, simpler things – Lightning’s support, her blessings, her consent – it meant the world to Snow.
“What did ya’ wanna talk about? I bet you’re really excited or nervous– or both. I’m kinda surprised you two are gettin’ married before Serah and I. I never woulda’ thought that’d happen,” there’s a noise with that same lightheartedness that pursues his wording and he claims a seat on the opposite end.
“How’s everything goin’? You guys got it covered? You know, if you need any help, your favorite and future brother-in-law would be more than happy to lend ya’ a hand.”
▐┃❛♕ Gaze flicks up towards the other upon the opening of the surafce previously standing between them, gaze meeting with his before cant of roseate adorned cranium.
❝ I’m — just stopping by, I guess. ❞ A flick applied to out of place fringe, moving it back to it's default position as palms placed on feminine hips. ❝ Plan on letting me in or are you gonna keep me out here? I don’t have all day, y'know. ❞ Tones carry the normal teasing nature that she has with her brother-in-law to be, a single corner of tiers tugged upward, the half-grin she wore commonly directed towards the other before all seriousness. ❝We need to talk. ❞
“Oh..! Oops– my bad.” In an attempt to keep things lighthearted and to spare any further accusation of the mistake, a tone strains a laugh and a stride sidesteps to the left. “Come on in, sis. Y'know you’re more than welcome here.” After her entry’s assured, the door closes accordingly and he meanders to the room closest; the kitchen.
“Serah’s out right now– said she had somethin’ to do with her class, but I’m sure she’ll be back soon if ya’ wanna wait. Would you like anythin’? Somethin’ to drink maybe?” Snow wasn’t much of a host, but Lightning was in fact a guest – a special one at that – so, he had to at least give it a try. “What did ya’ wanna talk about, though?”
